It is estimated that up to 10% of cows will be affected by any one of the above conditions at some time in their lives. It is therefore essential to be able to lift and attend to the cow as soon as possible. Twice daily lifting of the cow for periods of 30 minutes to 1 hour is recommended.
The steel strap-puller makes it easy to apply the Upsi-Daisy by assisting in pulling the straps under the cow.
The lifting process is simple and is done with a tractor using conventional hydraulic lifting devices such as a front end loader or hay forks.
The cow rests her hindquarters on the support of the rigid "chair". She is able to shift her weight. As a result there are no pressure points to cause skin lesions or internal damage.
Appetite and digestion will improve with standing.
The lifter is available in two sizes: Dairy and Beef
